History

About the founder - Summary

René Bühling (PhD) is a solo game developer engaged in design, creation and marketing of entertainment software. He is known for his game titles "A Room Beyond" (2017) and "Fart Fiasco" (2019) among many other projects. Furthermore he is well known in Germany for his online game development courses "GameDev-Profi.de" which sold over 10.000 times.

Early history

René worked on international projects in industry, research and education before he founded his studio in 2015 in tiny Bavarian village "Ziertheim" in south Germany. His games portfolio includes research and industry projects as well as his own in-house productions.

Coming from browser games and Flash based productions, René focussed on development in Unity for desktop and mobile devices afterwards. In addition to casual games, interactive storytelling and digital narratives are his core interests. This is also reflected in his first big title "A Room Beyond", a dark fantasy adventure inspired by literature and art in the genre of Victorian Horrors which was released in 2017.

Today

René Bühling works on his online game development courses and is teaching 3d design in class at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. In 2019 he released his casual mobile game "Fart Fiasco".
